With the cortijos in our village restored and life returned, we have a new name for our little neighbourhood. People used to pass by today's Casa BD to fetch water from the spring that lay a little below just outside the village. With canteras and donkeys, it was a coming and going there. There was no running water from the tap yet. Gossip must have been exchanged and several romances formed there among the reeds. So, with the history of not even that long ago in mind, we call our neighbourhood the Barrio de la Fuente.
